East Maitland Preschool Assoc operates two not for profit preschools servicing the East Maitland area. We provide a play based learning program based upon the Early Years Learning Framework which is delivered by Early Childhood Teachers and qualified Educators. Our emphasis is on creating a sense of belonging and encouraging children to extend on their interests, knowledge and abilities. We promote a positive transition to school and a lifelong love of learning.Our George St preschool has operated from it's current location since 1956 and caters for 30 children a day. Our homelike environment welcomes children and is adaptable to their needs. We have a cubby, sand and dirt pits for exploring and creating, gardens for nurturing and growing as well as indoor spaces full of opportunities to explore books, art, construction, role play plus lots more!Our Brunswick St preschool has operated since 1975 and caters for a total of 40 children a day in two classrooms. Each classroom has an Early Childhood Teacher and qualified Educator who deliver individual programs in each room. We have a wonderful large outdoor area with open spaces for running, a climbing fort, large covered sandpit and a cubby to explore. Inside each classroom is beautifully organised to provide opportunities for reading, painting, constructing, negotiating and creating.We encourage all families to complete a waiting list form before their child's 3rd birthday to avoid disappointment.
